Cleary Gottlieb associate Lawale Ladapo was named a Private Equity Rising Star in the UK and Europe by Law.com International.
The publication profiled the 25 “best up-and-coming talent within the UK and European legal industry” under 40.
Lawale was described as a “trusted advisor” for many of the firm’s leading private equity clients, such as TPG and Sixth Street. He was also noted for his work on deals involving Sub-Saharan Africa, which has been heavily targeted by private equity investors looking to build up their portfolios in the region. Senior private equity figures in the region describe Lawale as “very client-focused and commercially savvy.”
