Lowe’s Acquires Retail Analytics Platform From Boomerang

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Lowe’s Companies Inc. (Lowe’s) in its acquisition of the retail analytics platform from Boomerang Commerce (Boomerang).

The acquired technology will be integrated into Lowe’s core retail business and bolster strategic and data-driven pricing and merchandise assortment decisions across Lowe’s businesses. As part of the transaction, some associates from Boomerang’s retail analytics teams based in Bangalore, India, and the United States will join Lowe’s. The completed acquisition was announced on May 20, 2019.

With fiscal year 2018 sales of $71.3 billion, Lowe’s and its related businesses operate or service more than 2,200 home improvement and hardware stores and employ approximately 300,000 associates.
