LVMH in its Acquisition of RIMOWA

Cleary Gottlieb is representing LVMH Group in its acquisition of RIMOWA, a leading manufacturer of aluminum and polycarbonate luggage.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dieter Morszeck, grandson of the founder of RIMOWA will remain as the firm’s chief executive officer and a minority shareholder in the company.

RIMOWA will become the first German “Maison” of the LVMH Group. Upon completion of the transaction, Alexandre Arnault will be appointed co-CEO of RIMOWA.

Rimowa headquartered in Cologne, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of premium travel and carry-on luggage made of aluminum and polycarbonate.

The LVMH Group is a world leader in luxury consumer brands with, among others, the luxury leather goods brand Louis Vuitton.
