M&A Partner Michael J. Ulmer Joins German Practice

Cleary Gottlieb announced today that leading German M&A lawyer Michael J. Ulmer will join the firm as a partner in its Frankfurt office.

Michael joins Cleary from Allen & Overy, where his practice focuses on domestic and international private and public M&A transactions, joint ventures and general corporate advice. His expertise extends to a broad range of industries and clients, including leading German corporates, Mittelstand companies, and domestic and international financial and strategic investors. Independent publications rank him as one of the leading M&A advisors in Germany.

Michael joined Allen & Overy as a partner in 2006, having started his career at Hengeler Mueller.
