Cleary Gottlieb associate Michael James has been named a Private Equity Rising Star in the UK by LegalWeek.
The publication profiled “the best up-and-coming private practice lawyers in the UK private equity industry” under 40.
Michael was described as a “go-to” lawyer for many of the firm’s leading private equity clients, such as TPG Sixth Street Partners, TPG Capital, TPG Growth, and Warburg Pincus. He was also noted for his work advising on several early-stage social impact investments across Latin America and sub-continental Asia, such as The Rise Fund, which focuses on social and environmental impact.
