Neighbors Allied for Good Growth Merges With Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks & Planning

Cleary Gottlieb represented the Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG), also known as North Brooklyn Neighbors (NBN), in its merger with the Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks & Planning (GWAPP), with NAG as the surviving corporation of the merger.

NAG and GWAPP entered into a merger agreement and the transaction signed on December 7, 2020, and closed on March 23, 2021.

This merger memorializes the long-standing collaboration between NAG and GWAPP.

NAG is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on environmental health and justice, transportation, land use and public space, and sustainability issues in the North Brooklyn community. NAG has served the Greenpoint and Williamsburg sections of Brooklyn since 1994 and advances community-based solutions on issues of public space and the environment through activism, education, and collaboration to create a more just, healthy, and safe place to live and work.

GWAPP is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to improve environmental and land-use conditions in the North Brooklyn community by identifying community problems and encouraging their resolution by community members, and to educate the public regarding environmental issues affecting the North Brooklyn community.
