Northstar Equity Partners III in Equity Investment in Indonesian Brokerage Firm

Cleary Gottlieb represented Northstar Equity Partners III in its acquisition of a 49% interest in PT Trimegah Securities (“TRIM”), an Indonesian brokerage firm listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The acquisition agreement was conditional on a number of consents and approvals, and the transaction closed on December 6.

Northstar is a leading Indonesian private equity buy-out group. TRIM was founded in 1990 and was listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2000. The company engages in equity capital markets, debt capital markets, investment banking and asset management services. It provides services to both corporate and retailers and operates networks across 14 major cities with 18 branches in Indonesia.
