NQAPIA Recognizes Cleary Gottlieb for Supporting LGBT Community

September 20, 2019

Cleary Gottlieb has been named to the 2019 Legal Program Honor Roll by the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander’s Alliance (NQAPIA).

Cleary was recognized for hosting an innovative roundtable discussion with the NQAPIA and LGBT Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of New York titled, “Transactional Identities,” where attendees and legal professionals discussed how they navigated coming out.

The NQAPIA’s Legal Program includes legal advocacy and impact litigation protecting and promoting immigrants’ rights, LGBT rights, and racial justice. It seeks to educate both courts of law and courts of public opinion so that LGBT Asian and South Asian attorneys can live their full lives at work and in the profession.
