Cleary Gottlieb represented Palantir Technologies Inc. (Palantir) in connection with the establishment of a joint venture with HD Hyundai Co. Ltd. (HD Hyundai) for commercializing Palantir’s proprietary software platforms in Korea.
The joint venture is intended to provide Palantir’s products on an exclusive basis to accelerate adoption of the products by commercial and government customers in Korea, including by leveraging HD Hyundai’s expertise in the local market.
The parties entered into a framework agreement on September 20, 2022, and the transaction closed on January 11, 2023.

HD Hyundai is the holding company of one the world’s largest shipbuilding groups based in Korea.
