Pro Bono Counsel to The Fund for Public Schools on Computer Science for All Initiative

Cleary Gottlieb is delighted to be providing pro bono counsel to The Fund for Public Schools (FPS) in relation to the Computer Science for All initiative, a new public-private partnership that was announced by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on September 16th and will ensure that within 10 years all students in the New York City public school system receive computer science education. The $81 million that New York City plans to spend will be a combination of public and private funds. Cleary Gottlieb, which advises FPS on a pro bono basis on a range of matters, is providing advice on this public-private partnership that brings together the City of New York, the Department of Education and other non-profits and private contributors.
