Saint-Gobain to Acquire Kaycan for $928 Million

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Saint-Gobain in its entrance into a definitive agreement pursuant to which it will acquire Kaycan Ltd. (Kaycan) for $928 million (approximately €860 million) in cash.

The transaction was announced on May 31, 2022. Closing of the transaction is subject to antitrust approvals and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions; it is expected to close by year-end 2022.

Kaycan is a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of exterior building materials in Canada and in the United States.
