Save the Children Fund Transfers Emergency Health Unit to Save the Children International

Cleary Gottlieb represented pro bono client Save the Children Fund (SCUK) in the internal transfer of the charity’s Emergency Health Unit to Save the Children International (SCI).

Established in 2015, the Emergency Health Unit delivers rapid, high-quality healthcare to children and their families affected by natural disasters, conflicts, and disease outbreaks. The transfer of the Emergency Health Unit ensures that Save the Children continues to be able to respond quickly to humanitarian crises and to address the growing needs of children supported by the charity around the world.

Cleary assisted with drafting and negotiating the documentation for the transfer of employees and assets associated with the Emergency Health Unit from SCUK to SCI. The transaction was completed on August 1, 2021.
