Cleary Gottlieb represented TPG in connection with the sale of Times Higher Education (THE) to Inflexion Private Equity (Inflexion).
The transaction closed on February 28, 2019.
THE is the world leader in university data, rankings, and content, with clients including Oxford University and Cambridge University in the UK, and Harvard University and Stanford University in the United States. Its website attracts more than 30 million visitors annually. THE was formerly part of TES Global and was carved out as an independent entity as part of the transaction. Cleary separately advised TPG on the sale of TES Global to Providence Equity Partners in January 2019.
Inflexion is a leading London-based private equity firm with approximately £4.4 billion in assets under management across complementary private equity businesses.
