Cleary Gottlieb’s diversity and inclusion initiatives were featured in an article by Legal Week on the best law firms for diversity in the United Kingdom.
Cleary was noted as having “great young talent” who are empowered by the firm to serve as its representatives. Cleary’s LGBTQ+ and women’s working groups, and its BAME network were also highlighted. Other initiatives recognized included the firm’s unconscious bias and respect at work training, as well as its mental health champions network.
Legal Week interviewed a dozen UK general counsel from major companies, including four FTSE 100 institutions, in order to conduct its survey.
