On September 4, 2017, UTC and Rockwell Collins announced that they reached a definitive agreement under which UTC will acquire Rockwell Collins. Once the deal is complete, United Technologies’ UTC Aerospace Systems and Rockwell Collins will combine into a new unit called Collins Aerospace Systems.
