Cleary Gottlieb advised Universal Music Group (UMG) in securing a five-year €3 billion financing with a consortium of four leading banks.
UMG, 80% owned by Vivendi, is the world’s leading music entertainment company with a wide range of activities in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in over 60 countries. UMG B.V., based in the Netherlands, regroups the subsidiaries in the different countries where UMG operates.
