Cleary Gottlieb represented Veolia Environnement S.A. in securing clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in connection with its public tender offer for Suez S.A. (Suez), a deal valued at approximately $15 billion.
CFIUS concluded that there are no unresolved national security concerns with respect to the transaction.
