Cleary Gottlieb is representing long-time client Verizon Communications Inc. in its $1.475 billion SEC-registered “Formosa bond” offering. The offering priced on January 25, 2017, and closed on February 10, 2017. The notes are due in 2047 and are listed on the Taipei Exchange.

Morgan Stanley is the global structuring agent, and the underwriters are BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank in Taipei.
