Cleary Gottlieb assisted Vivendi in the negotiation of a new €1.5 billion revolving credit facility agreement with a 5-year maturity, signed on March 28, 2013.
The bank syndicate was composed of 16 banks: Bank of America N.A. Paris Branch, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Barclays Bank PLC., BNP Paribas, Citibank International plc, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Crédit Mutuel CIC (acting through Banque Fédérative du Crédit Mutuel & Crédit Industriel et Commercial), Deutsche Bank Luxembourg SA, Goldman Sachs International Bank, HSBC Bank PLC, Paris Branch, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Europe) S.A. Paris branch, Mizuho Corporate Bank Ltd., Natixis, The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc. and Société Générale.
This new facility refinances an existing credit facility totaling €1.5 billion, which was maturing within the next 14 months and will also enable Vivendi to maintain its average debt maturity at more than four years.
