Wall Street Journal Notes Cleary Gottlieb ‘Lands Atop’ 2014 M&A Rankings

It the April 24 edition of its “Law Blog,” The Wall Street Journal noted that Cleary Gottlieb now is the top-ranked legal advisor for 2014 announced global mergers and acquisitions by value as a result of Comcast abandoning its proposed acquisition of Time Warner Cable (“Cleary Gottlieb Lands Atop 2014 M&A Heap”).

The article noted that 2014 “had already been a bumper year for Cleary, which rode big deals for Family Dollar Stores, Biomet and Medtronic to a second-place finish. With [Comcast’s proposed acquisition of Time Warner Cable] subtracted from the rankings, Cleary, one of few law firms still nestled in New York’s financial district, lands in the top spot.”
