Cleary Gottlieb is representing Warburg Pincus and certain other investors of Airtel Africa plc (Airtel Africa) in connection with the initial public offering of the ordinary shares of Airtel Africa and its listing on the main market of the London Stock Exchange (UK Admission).
The IPO involved an offering to institutional investors in the United Kingdom and outside the United States under Regulation S, as well as to qualified institutional buyers in the United States under Rule 144A. The offering raised approximately £595 million. UK Admission became effective and unconditional dealings commenced on the London Stock Exchange at 8:00 a.m. on July 3, 2019.
Airtel Africa provides telecommunications and mobile money services in 14 jurisdictions across Africa.
