Warburg Pincus in Acquisition of a Majority of Sterigenics

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Warburg Pincus in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in STHI Holdings, Inc., the holding company of Sterigenics, from private equity fund GTCR. The transaction was signed on Friday, March 20 and was announced on Monday, March 23.  The price was not publicly announced.

Sterigenics is a worldwide leader in providing sterilization services to the medical device, pharmaceutical, food safety and high performance/specialty materials industries, and provides radioactive materials to hospitals and laboratories for use in the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of disease.
