World’s Largest Copper Producer in €600 Million Debt Offering

Cleary Gottlieb represented long-standing client Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco), a Chilean state-owned company that is the world’s largest copper producer, in its debut euro-denominated offering, a €600 million Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of 2.250% notes due 2024. The offering, for which Banco Santander, Deutsche Bank and HSBC Bank acted as initial purchasers, priced on July 2 and closed on July 9.
