ICDR Issues Revised International Arbitration Rules

June 19, 2014

The International Centre for Dispute Resolution (“ICDR”) of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) has recently published revised International Dispute Resolution Procedures, which include its International Arbitration Rules (the “Rules”). The new revisions are the most significant changes made to the Rules since they were first issued in 1991. The new Rules address various aspects of the arbitration process, including joinder, consolidation, expedited procedures, mediation, ICDR list procedure, privilege and streamlining provisions.
