Cleary Gottlieb senior attorney Enikő Horváth and associate Severin Klinkmüller co-authored the article, “The Concept of ‘Investment’ in the Digital Economy: The Case of Social Media Companies,” which was published by Brill in The Journal of World Investment & Trade.

The article discusses how the component parts of social media companies’ digital operations, whether viewed as distinct assets or as an economic unit, may qualify as an “investment” in the countries where such companies’ services are offered.
