Joe Akalski’s practice focuses on patent litigation and intellectual property disputes, with an emphasis on helping clients navigate complex technical issues to achieve their business objectives.

He represents clients across a broad range of industries, including software, semiconductors, computing systems and networking, cloud computing, manufacturing, mechanical devices, and medical devices. Joe has successfully litigated cases before federal district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), in matters involving cutting-edge technologies.

Joe works closely with clients and experts to develop strategies that are both legally sound and aligned with business goals.

Joe has worked on pro bono matters involving civil rights issues, including cases related to excessive force, discrimination, and First Amendment claims, and remains interested in efforts to expand access to justice through public interest litigation.
