Lin Yu’s practice focuses on equity derivative transactions and margin loans, as well as structured products and private credit solutions.
She brings extensive experience advising clients on both the sell side and the buy side across various industries, including at sponsors, funds, and investment banks, and has held senior in-house positions related to equity derivatives transactions and structured solutions. Most recently as Managing Director and Head of Equity Derivatives Legal (Americas) at Goldman Sachs, she oversaw a team that advised on a variety of derivatives and financing products, including swaps, call-spreads, forwards, options, ASRs, ASDs, margin loans on listed securities and private assets, NAV financings, and structured products linked to hybrid asset classes and proprietary indices.
Before that, Lin was Managing Director and Head of Global Trading Solutions (Americas) at Credit Suisse Securities, where she led a team of transactional lawyers, covering a wide variety of products and regulatory initiatives, including structured notes, OTC derivatives, structured products, and LIBOR transition, among others.
Lin joined the firm as a partner in 2026. Prior to practicing law, Lin was a chartered accountant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
