Marcela Robledo’s practice focuses on the intellectual property, data, and technology aspects involved in a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, licensing, collaboration agreements, and joint ventures.

Marcela routinely advises public and private clients from a variety of industries on the intellectual property, privacy, and cybersecurity aspects of a wide range of corporate matters.

Marcela has practiced law in the United States and Colombia. She is a member of the American and California Bar Associations, as well as the International Trademark Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Marcela joined the firm as a partner in 2022 from a major international law firm.


Prior to joining Cleary, Marcela’s notable experience included:

  • Zynga on its acquisition of Echtra Games.

  • Devolver in connection with its licensing agreement with Mediatonic and Epic Games.

  • Brunswick Corporation in the acquisition of the Navico Group.

  • Microsoft in the acquisition of Github.

  • Syncsort in the acquisition of Pitney Bowes’ Software Solutions Business.

  • Dell in the acquisition of EMC and the sale of Dell’s software business.

  • Verisure in a commercial agreement with Arlo Technologies.

  • Microsoft in the acquisition of LinkedIn.

  • Microsoft in the acquisition of Skype Global Sarl.

  • Alibaba in its investment in Weibo Corporation and strategic alliance with SINA Corporation.
