Markos Day’s practice focuses on intellectual property, technology, general commercial, and data privacy matters, including on outsourcing, licensing, and bespoke collaboration and joint venture agreements, as well as on artificial intelligence and data sharing regulation.

He has experience advising a range of clients, including private equity, sports teams, associations and funds, and high-net-worth individuals, with a particular expertise in the sports and media, financial services, transport, and hotel sectors. He also has extensive experience advising on the intellectual property, technology, data privacy, and commercial aspects of corporate transactions, particularly in the context of complex business carve-outs and separations.

Markos joined the firm in 2025. Prior to joining Cleary, he practiced at a leading UK law firm in London and completed a 10-month secondment to Premier Padel LLC (a subsidiary of Qatar Sports Investments).
