Philip Stone
Associate
Philip Stone’s practice focuses on advising fund managers and financial institutions in connection with the structuring, establishment, and operation of their private investment funds, and also advises clients with regard to their carry and co-invest arrangements.
Philip has a particular emphasis on structuring and negotiating complex, multi-jurisdictional funds across a broad range of asset classes, including private equity, credit, infrastructure, impact, sports, and real estate. Clients regularly turn to him for advice in connection with commingled funds, separately managed accounts, co-investment arrangements, fund-of-fund structures, and continuation funds. Drawing on his experience from matters across the entire fund lifecycle, Philip takes a solutions-driven, pragmatic approach that helps clients to navigate sensitive situations and shifting market conditions.
He also has significant experience on the investor side, advising major public pension plans and sovereign wealth funds in respect of their primary investment programs, co-investments, and the establishment of bespoke multi-strategy fund-of-one accounts with leading sponsors.
Philip joined the firm in 2026 from another major international law firm, bringing a wealth of cross-border fund formation experience.
