Richard C. Minott’s practice focuses on corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and related litigation.

He represents debtors, creditors, counterparties, and other interested parties in a wide range of in-court and out-of-court restructurings.

Richard joined the firm in 2021.

  • Genesis Global Capital, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, in its Chapter 11 restructuring proceeding and related corporate governance, regulatory, and investigative matters, including an investigation overseen by the Board’s Special Committee.

  • LATAM Airlines Group and its affiliates in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and the United States in the voluntary reorganization and restructuring of their debt under Chapter 11 protection in the United States.

  • The largest secured creditor in the Chapter 11 case of Kabbage, Inc. d/b/a KServicing, issuer of over $7 billion of loans in connection with the Paycheck Protection Program.

  • HSBC Bank and related entities in defending multibillion dollar actions related to the Madoff Ponzi scheme and the bankruptcy of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities.

  • Alto Maipo SpA, a hydroelectric project in Chile, in its pre-arranged Chapter 11 proceedings in Delaware.
