Payroll Specialist
As a Payroll Specialist, you will become part of a dynamic and professional team at a law firm that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
You will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues from other international offices. You will be responsible for the complete management of employee payroll and attorney fees. You will report to the human resources managers based in Paris.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Comprehensive Payroll Management
- Collect, verify, and enter variable payroll items (overtime, bonuses, absences, leave, etc.)
- Prepare and review pay slips in compliance with labour laws, the national collective agreement for law firms, and company policies/practices
- Process payroll for all employees at the Paris office (administrative staff, law clerks, etc.)
- Manage final account payments, severance pay, and end-of-contract documents
2. Social Security declarations and legal obligations
- Prepare and submit individual social security declarations (DSN)
- Manage various declarations (apprenticeship tax, F/H Index, etc.)
- Maintain relations with social security agencies (URSSAF, pension funds, health insurance, life insurance, CPAM, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and social security contribution payments
3. Payroll-related personnel administration
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding in the payroll software
- Track absences, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, and insurance claims
- Prepare various certificates
- Update and maintain individual employee files
- Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of HR tasks,
4. Management of attorneys’ fees
- Maintain the fee database
- Manage new hires and terminations
- Track absences, sick leave, and maternity/paternity leave
5. Legal and labour market monitoring
- Continuously monitor legislative, regulatory, and contractual developments related to payroll and labour law
- Serve as a liaison with ADP regarding payroll software settings and updates
- Alert management to the impacts of regulatory changes
6. Reporting and Analysis
- Produce HR dashboards and provide the accounting team with data for bank transfers and journal entries
- Manage the BDESE

Knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in human resources or business administration)
- At least 3 years of experience in human resources-related activities as described above, preferably in an international legal or business environment
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of ADP and Workday would be a plus
