Volunteers in Cleary Gottlieb’s London office held a Careers in Law event for over 500 students from across the UK.
The event was organized in collaboration with our longstanding charity partner The National Literacy Trust as part of the firm’s commitment to the Vision for Literacy Business Pledge: an initiative for businesses across the country to support literacy levels and help secure the economic future of the next generation.
The event introduced the students to various career pathways in the legal sector and offered insights into practicing law as a corporate solicitor. The volunteers also emphasized the importance of literacy skills at every stage of a legal career. Associates George Taylor and Axel Nordlöf and Trainee Solicitor Victoria Gregory led the initiative in London.
Cleary Gottlieb has partnered with the National Literacy Trust since 2016 to support the literacy skills of some of the least advantaged students in the UK and widen access to City careers.
