Adobe in $3.4 Billion Macromedia Acquisition

Cleary Gottlieb is advising Macromedia, Inc. in German merger control proceedings on Macromedia’s potential acquisition by Adobe Systems Incorporated.  The all-stock transaction is valued at approximately $3.4 billion.

Macromedia is a global software company producing applications used in the development of websites, rich media content and Internet applications across multiple platforms and devices.  Adobe, also a global software developer, offers software applications used for digital imaging and design and document technology platforms.
