Cleary Gottlieb represented América Móvil in its sale of $500 million Floating Rate Senior Notes Due 2008. Citigroup Global Markets Inc. acted as initial purchaser in the transaction, which closed on December 27. The notes were sold in a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering with registration rights.
América Móvil is the largest provider of wireless services in Latin America, with over 115 million subscribers as of October 31, 2006.
