Cleary Gottlieb has been ranked No. 21 in The American Lawyer’s 2021 Pro Bono Scorecard.
Throughout 2020, Cleary lawyers in the United States dedicated over 61,000 hours to pro bono legal work. On average, each individual lawyer dedicated over 114 hours to domestic pro bono legal work.
The list ranks Am Law 200 firms with a pro bono score based on work performed by U.S.-based lawyers. Half of the score comes from the average number of pro bono hours per lawyer in 2020; the other half represents the percentage of lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work.
