Cleary Gottlieb Hosts Pride Month Celebration With Natalie J. Egan

June 30, 2022

Cleary Gottlieb hosted its Pride Month celebration, “Transitioning Perspectives and Narratives Through Technology,” a conversation with Natalie J. Egan, CEO and founder of Translator Inc.

Managing Partner Michael Gerstenzang delivered welcome remarks, and associate David Z. Schwartz and Director of Operations Rick Copeland moderated the discussion.

Natalie discussed her life and career as a trailblazing transgender entrepreneur. Based in Philadelphia, Natalie received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and her M.B.A. from The Villanova School of Business. Prior to founding Translator, Inc., in 2016—and prior to her transition—she was the CEO and founder of PeopleLinx, a venture capital backed sales technology solution that was acquired in 2015.

As CEO and founder of Translator, Inc. Natalie and her team are on a mission to scale empathy and equality through technology. She has also worked in sales leadership positions at large public companies like LinkedIn, Autonomy, and Ecolab. Outside of work, Natalie is a parent, a marathon runner, an artist, and a consummate activist for transgender rights and representation. She is currently writing her first book about her transition from a male-to-female CEO in corporate America and the business lessons learned along the way.
