Cleary Gottlieb Lawyers Named CPO Attorneys of the Year by DC Volunteer Lawyers Project

Cleary Gottlieb associates Brandon Adkins and Grace Kurland have been named “CPO Attorneys of the Year” by the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project (DCVLP) for their pro bono representation of victims of domestic abuse.

The organization recognized Brandon and Grace for their work on numerous cases for domestic abuse survivors in 2018, including cases brought to trial, representing clients in District of Columbia Superior Court proceedings to obtain civil protection orders (CPOs).

The DC Volunteer Lawyers Project creates, supports, and utilizes a network of volunteer lawyers to provide high-quality pro bono legal services to domestic violence victims and at-risk children in Washington, D.C. Since the inception of the firm’s partnership with DCVLP in June 2017, Cleary lawyers have performed over 850 hours of pro bono work and taken on 15 CPO cases.
