Cleary Gottlieb Named an International Arbitration Leader in the 2026 Edition of Global Arbitration Review’s GAR 30

March 27, 2026

Cleary Gottlieb has once again been recognized as one of the world’s leading international arbitration practices by Global Arbitration Review (GAR) in its annual GAR 30 rankings.

This continued recognition reflects the firm’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional results for clients across the full spectrum of international arbitration matters.

Cleary has a longstanding history in international arbitration, dating back to 1949 when it opened its first non-U.S. office in Paris and advised the French government on the Marshall Plan. While the firm is especially recognized for its state representation, it also boasts a strong track record in commercial arbitration, reflecting the breadth of its transactional and disputes practice.

GAR notes that “the GAR 30 ranks firms primarily on the number of arbitral hearings conducted over a two-year period. Factors contributing to a high ‘score’ include the amount in dispute in those cases and the number of arbitrator appointments received by firm members.”
