Cleary Gottlieb partner Jonathan Blackman has been honored with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law 2017 Brooks R. Burdette Best New Board Member Award.
The award, named in honor of the late Brooks Burdette, recognizes board members who have demonstrated innovative and dynamic leadership in advancing the Lawyers’ Committee’s mission. Notably, in 2017 Jon led the pro bono team that secured a settlement in an important voting-rights challenge of the dilution of African American votes in Jones County, North Carolina.
