Cleary Gottlieb Shortlisted for Global Restructuring Review Inaugural Awards

Cleary Gottlieb is a finalist in Global Restructuring Review’s inaugural GRR Awards in the “Large Law Firm That Impressed” category. 

GRR’s new annual awards recognize some of the world’s premier firms, cases and marketplace developments in cross-border restructuring and insolvency.

Three notable matters that Cleary advised on were also shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Innovation in Cross-Border Insolvency and Restructuring: Belize’s landmark restructuring of a tranche of U.S. dollar bonds by a consent solicitation.
  • Cross-Border Cooperation in a Specific Insolvency or Restructuring Matter and Most Important Overall Development: Nortel’s global settlement deal reached in October 2016.
  • Most Important Overall Development: Argentina’s settlement with holdout creditors in the spring of 2016.
