Two major disputes matters being led by partners in Cleary Gottlieb’s London office have been listed in The Lawyer’s “Top 20 Cases of 2021.”
Partners Sunil Gadhia and James Brady are representing a major investment bank facing FX rigging allegations in the High Court. The claimant alleges that traders on the bank’s FX desk routinely and repeatedly manipulated the market between 2004 and 2006.
Partner James Norris-Jones is representing Castle Water in High Court claims against Thames Water for breach of contract. The dispute stems from an agreement between the parties, linked to the opening of a new sector in the English water industry known as the non-household retail market.
