Cleary Gottlieb was recognized for advising on the Asia Telecom M&A Deal of the Year at the TMT M&A Awards 2019, held in London on November 26.
Cleary represented Kazakhtelecom in its $446 million acquisition of a 75% stake in Kcell, a company owned by Telia Company AB and Turkcell İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş., from Telia Company AB and Fintur Holdings B.V. The transaction implies an enterprise value of $771 million for 100% of Kcell on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
