Cleary Gottlieb has won the TrustLaw Collaboration Award for its work with 28TooMany to produce groundbreaking reports to help eradicate FGM/C in the 28 countries in Africa where it is still practiced.
The award recognizes highly effective working relationships between legal teams, NGOs, and social enterprises that have dramatically increased the potential impact of projects. The report, put together by 28TooMany in partnership with Cleary and other global law firms, highlights examples of best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations for the formation of sound legal frameworks that will contribute to the global elimination of female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C).
