Cleary Gottlieb was named “Italian Media Firm of the Year” and “Italian Restructuring Firm of the Year” at the 2021 TopLegal Industry Awards.
The nomination panel noted that Cleary has a “successful team, at the center of the most important transactions. It assisted Vivendi in its investment in Mediaset. The transaction, with complex regulatory and corporate issues, resulted in multiple disputes in many jurisdictions.” The panel also noted that Cleary’s team is “well-established” and “moves in the market with intelligence and creativity. It impressed the jurors with the negotiation for ArcelorMittal of the over €1 billion investment agreement with Invitalia.”
