Cleary Hosts Women Mean Business Series With Auraellia Wang and Seda Yalçinkaya

Cleary Gottlieb hosted part of an ongoing series of events, “Women Mean Business,” featuring a fireside chat with Auraellia Wang, Senior Competition Counsel for APAC at Google, and Seda Yalçinkaya, European General Counsel at Apollo Global Management.

Cleary partner Jackie Holland moderated the discussion.

Auraellia and Seda discussed their lives and careers as trailblazers in the legal industry. In her current role, Auraellia oversees a wide range of antitrust/competition issues in the region. She is an advocate for mindfulness in business. In her work she implements more compassionate ways of working in a real and tangible way, thereby increasing welfare as well as productivity.

Prior to joining Apollo, Seda was the General Counsel for EMEA at Silver Lake; Director and Deputy General Counsel at Citi Capital Advisors, where she focused on emerging markets private equity investments; and the Deputy Head of M&A Legal for Citigroup, in which role she advised Citi’s senior management on proprietary M&A transactions spanning the finance sector.

The Women Mean Business series invites women business leaders to discuss their professional journeys and to share the lessons they’ve learned navigating challenges and opportunities along the way. The women leaders will also discuss how they are driving change within their organizations for both gender equity and the bottom line, and how they are leading their businesses through innovation and disruption.
