Cleary Gottlieb represented Citigroup Venture Capital International in its indirect acquisition of a $25.5 million minority stake in Tenedora Agusta S.A.P.I. de C.V., the holding company for Grupo Prisma, a Mexican hotel management company that manages hotels under the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express franchise names in Northern Mexico.
CVCI-related entities purchased a special series of voting shares with veto rights, in a deal that closed April 24. New York-based Indigo Capital Partners, L.P. also participated in the investment as a passive investor with non-voting shares.
