The Am Law Litigation Daily selected Cleary Gottlieb partner George Cary as its Litigator of the Week for the week ending May 5, 2016.
The accolade comes on the heels of Sanofi US’s win in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, with a grant of summary judgment in multibillion-dollar antitrust litigation.
Litigation Daily noted that when George began defending Sanofi in 2014, “the company had already spent five years trying unsuccessfully to beat the multibillion-dollar litigation,” but “less than four months later, after Cary argued for summary judgment, a federal judge in New Jersey agreed to toss the case.”
