Goldman Sachs in Financing to a Peruvian Natural Gas Distributor

Cleary Gottlieb represented Goldman Sachs Bank USA as sole lead arranger, sole lead bookrunner, syndication agent and a lender in a senior secured term loan facility to Especialistas en Gas del Perú and Clean Energy del Perú (collectively, “EGP”).

EGP is a Peruvian company specialized in the promotion, development and commercialization of natural gas and other clean energy alternatives. The deal closed on December 20, 2012.

EGP will use the loan proceeds to refinance existing obligations as well as for capital investment and for general corporate purposes.
