Cleary Gottlieb is counsel to Goldman Sachs as financial advisor to the privately-held Hunt Petroleum Corp. in its agreement to sell itself to XTO Energy Inc. The cash and stock deal, announced June 10, is valued at $4.2 billion. It is expected to close in September.
